The entrance to the Anandwan Hospital.

The Anandwan Hospital treats over 1,400 resident leprosy patients annually. Every year, more than 260 new patients are treated for leprosy. Everyday more than 150 persons are treated in the hospital for leprosy related problems (wounds, infections etc) due to the loss of sensation in their limbs.
