Dr. Prakash Amte and his wife Dr. Manda Amte are living legends in the forests of the Gonds. Drs. Amtes see the worst possible accidents (bear bites, snake bites, falls from trees). They also treat the endemic sikle cell anemia that kills many tribal people in these parts.
